This much requested service is one into which we have put a lot of thought, and
we believe the best results are obtained using a home care custom tray system.
The alternative is an ‘in office’ visit. Because the whitening must be achieved in an hour, it requires a combination of light, heat and highly concentrated bleaching gels. This system has been known to lead to acute and severe temperature sensitivity in the teeth and when gel gets past the barrier material, ulceration of the gums and / or the tongue. The outcomes achieved with the tray system as judged by patients in a CRA comparison survey, was far superior to the in office technique. The cost with the tray system is also about half the fee for the alternative approach.
