What is a dental therapist?
A Dental Therapist is University trained, and they are registered with the Dental Board of Queensland to treat a range of dental conditions in children and adolescents under the general supervision of the dentist.
What is their role at Avenue Dental?
The role of the Dental Therapist includes, among other things, fillings and deciduous extractions. At Avenue Dental, we are extremely fortunate that all four of our Hygienists are also qualified as Dental Therapists. Their expertise has proved an invaluable addition to the treatment options that we can offer our younger patients. You will invariably find your youngsters looking forward to their visits and departing with quality work carried out at reasonable cost.
