Alicia was educated and trained in Toronto Canada in 1997. She then joined two practices, one with a periodontist, and one with the president of the Dental Association of Ontario. Both were affiliated with the University of Toronto. We were fortunate to have Alicia join our family in 2008 as she brings extensive dental knowledge and a wealth of clinical experience.
Her professional demeanour, exceptional clinical skills and a caring nature has already established a great reputation and strong rapport with her clients. She specialises in Oral Hygiene education and periodontal gum disease treatment. She takes immense pride in helping people maintain healthy mouths, creating beautiful smiles and especially keeping their teeth for life. In her spare time, Alicia is passionate about international travel, is the mother of 2 young boisterous boys, Rhys and Erik, and with her partner Andrew, tries to spend as much time at the beach as possible.
A Queensland Graduate of Dental Therapy and dental Hygiene, Natarsha has been with Avenue dental since 2001. She is a mother of two daughters – one teen and one nearly three, and lives in a quaint country town on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. She is inspired by the bush and loves hiking in our beautiful National Parks. Her hiking claim to fame is recently “doing the Overland Track,” a wilderness walk in Tasmania in the Cradle mountain region – the climb up Mt Ossa being the highlight. Her other passions include practicing yoga and enjoying her garden.
“My satisfaction from working life comes from the interaction with people – the work I do is very rewarding in being a part of people’s healing process and their experience of returning their mouth to a state of health.”
“I love the friendly atmosphere we have created at Avenue dental, with our supportive, willing staff members and the emphasis on achieving and maintaining high standards of health care; and having fun whilst doing so.”

She graduated as an Oral Health Therapist in 2004 at the University of QLD, and has been with Avenue Dental since 2009. She prides herself on quality care and is passionate about building long lasting relationships with her patients. Her attention to detail as an Oral Health Therapist is part of the reason she is also a fantastic visual artist.
‘I love being a part of the avenue team. They are a positive lot and always deliver service with a smile. Building relationships with my patients is one of the most enjoyable parts of my role. I am very passionate about helping produce positive results with their overall dental health, and love seeing their happy faces when this is achieved’

Originally from Brisbane, Alice obtained her degree from the University of Queensland in 2013 and has since become part of the Avenue Dental Kawana team. Alice believes in creating a relaxed and fun environment for oral health care, values positive relationships with her patients and loves working together with a team to achieve optimal results for her patients.
Being raised in a family with a passion for travel, Alice has visited many countries and obtained an appreciation for different cultures and lifestyles. Deborah Kerridge graduated from the Brisbane School of Dental Therapy in 1978 or thereabouts. She worked for Queensland Health and was the first and only dental therapist in Mount Isa for several years.
Deborah left Australia for a six week holiday and for ten years she traveled the world visiting places such as Canada, America, England, Scotland and Europe.
Upon her return Deborah was offered a bridging course which allowed her to return to her role as a dental therapist on the sunshine coast. After being away from dentistry so long she was surprised that the world of dentistry had not changed that much and preventive dentistry was still not considered as a major part of dentistry. On this note she enrolled in Queensland University and completed a Graduate Diploma in Health Promotion.
This led to some amazing opportunities to be able to include dentistry in health promotion programs involving other health professionals. These included working with ante natal nurses to present workshops to new and expectant parents and to have a major dental component to be incorporated in Certificate of Aged Care.
In 1998 Deb then enrolled in the first intake of the Dental Hygienist course offered by University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology. Successfully completing this in 1999 she was now getting nearer her dream of being able to perform preventive dentistry. Luckily she was introduced to Avenue Dental in 2000 and was so excited to be able to be involved in a team that is as passionate about prevention as herself.
Deborah is a member of the Australian Oral Health Therapy Association, the Australian Dental Hygienist Association and the Australian Dental Therapy Association as well as participating in various study groups.
Outside of the dental field, Deb lives on the sunshine coast with her wonderful husband and teenage daughter, two dogs and one cat. She loves to surf (not very well), eating out and at the moment is going to the gym.
After nearly a decade of living, working and travelling in remote communities on Cape York, Julie has recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast with her husband and two active young sons. They are all loving the cooler weather, access to delicious fresh fruit and vegetables and of course swimming in crocodile free water.
A Queensland graduate, Julie’s experience in oral health clinical care expands over 20 years. She completed her Dental Therapist qualification in 1993 and her Dental Hygienist qualification in 1999. Julie is passionate about promoting oral health and is committed to excellence in providing patient focused care. She loves her role as an Oral Health Therapist and with her fun loving, caring and compassionate nature she prides herself in providing a comfortable dental experience for her young and not so young patients.
In her colourful career history, Julie has worked in both public and private sectors, in general dental and orthodontic practices in Brisbane, Sydney, Cairns, Cape York and the Torres Strait. She is very excited to join our team at Avenue Dental.
Julie also has an interest in humanitarian aid work and has travelled abroad as a volunteer oral health therapist providing care to children living in orphanages in India. She has also led some amazing public oral health promotion activities including toothbrushing programs in Indigenous community schools and childcare facilities, and has worked alongside Indigenous Health Workers and the Royal Flying Doctor child health nurses to promote oral health for Indigenous families and for their communities. Her passion and dedication was recently acknowledged and Julie was awarded a Queensland Health Director General’s Australia Day Award for her commitment to Indigenous oral health.
There is literally no such thing as ‘spare time’ for Julie, as she is a mother to mischievous 2 year old and active 3 year old boys. They capture, and at times command most of her time, that is when she is not looking in mouths. But given the opportunity, she loves a great cuppa and a good yarn.
Leslie was born in the United States, where she studied oral health care, receiving an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1995. She worked with a successful practice in Connecticut for several years before taking a holiday to Australia, where an opportune meeting with her now husband, found her relocating to the other side of the world.
Leslie moved to Australia in 1999, completing the Australian Dental Hygiene Licensing exams. She then moved on to practise in country Victoria for three years. Wanting to experience more of Australia, and desiring the lifestyle that Queensland offers, Leslie accepted a dental position in Yeppoon, where she worked for several years until such time that once again work, this time her husbands, brought them to the Sunshine Coast, where she has lived and worked for nearly 10 years.
Given any opportunity Leslie and her husband enjoy sailing with the local yacht club SCYC, travel, and the company of there many pets! With a couple of grandchildren due very soon, Leslie has a lot to keep her busy.
One of the motivating factors in Leslie’s success and longevity is her desire to work with patients in the development of long term plans and educational management structures, building towards strong long term dental healthcare. Leslie takes patient care and education very seriously, Leslie strives to develop a clear understanding of every patients oral health care needs and aims to provide individual excellence to each person.
Originally from Canada, Giulia moved over to Australia with her family and obtained her degree in Oral Health Therapy from Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2011. Giulia prides herself on quality care and is passionate about building long lasting relationships with her patients. Giulia believes this is achieved by working together with her team to reach optimal results for her patients. Providing treatment and dental awareness to our younger generation is one of Giulia’s great passions. Her skills and experience allow her to treat children as young as three years old.

I began my dental career 20 years ago in Melbourne as dental assistant, where I developed a passion for excellence in dentistry and prevention of dental diseases.
Since completing my Oral Health Therapy degree in 2011 at Griffith University, Gold Coast I have thoroughly enjoyed treating children in Queensland School Dental Services as well as in private practice.
Through a caring and gentle approach, I delight in creating a positive experience for children during their dental visits. I always strive to provide excellence in preventative and restorative dentistry eagerly encouraging my patients to achieve optimal oral health results.
I enjoy being creative with mosaics, making jewellery, sewing and building, gaining inspiration from the culture and history of various travel destinations around the world.
I loved learning to snowboard whilst living and working in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Canada and have lately been enjoying the Australian countryside camping and 4 wheel driving with my gorgeous husband, friends and my adorable and clever kelpie.
