Technology is advancing rapidly. This excites us here at Avenue Dental as it allows us to provide treatment options that we were not able to offer patients in the past. Our dentists collaborate and meet regularly to ensure that everyone stays up to date and are provide our patients with the best possible care. Combined, our dentists spend thousands of hours a year on continuing education. Our Sunshine Coast and North Lakes dentists meet regularly to share the latest techniques, material and knowledge. One of the latest additions that our Caloundra, Kawana, Maroochydore, Bli Bli, North Lakes, Baringa, Sippy Downs, Tewantin, Murrumba Downs, Beerwah and Woolloongabba practices have made is a 3Shape TRIOS® intraoral scanner. This provides our dentists with many options in accurately scanning the hard and soft tissues of the mouth. Having this digital software allows our dentists to transmit images to technicians on the Sunshine Coast and North Lakes who design and adjust the shape of your new customised teeth so that the best result can be achieved.  

We work with local accredited technicians who are experienced with all modern materials. Dental ceramics (e.g. Lithium Disilicate and Monolithic Zirconia), precious metal (e.g. Gold) and porcelain to name a few!  

Technology has also been advancing rapidly for dental fillings. Our dentists keep up to date with the latest research and only provide the highest quality white fillings for our patients. The filling material that our dentists use is trialled and tested. For a decade now it has been the ‘Dental Advisor Top Award Winner’. The composite resin is nano-filled allowing it to blend in beautifully with your tooth whilst maintaining longer-term wear resistance.

Our fillings are fused to your tooth with a fourth- generation bonding system. We stock many colours and our dentist will choose the shade that is right for you.
