Hi! My name is Amy, and I am Avenue Dental’s Systems and Events Manager!
My journey at Avenue Dental started at the beginning of 2017, where I started with no Dental experience!
I was trained up as a Dental Assistant whilst completing my qualifications. My passion for Dentistry and training leaded me into a Clinical Coordinator role, where I helped facilitate the daily operations of the clinic by coordinating patient care, maintaining supplies & equipment, training new staff, and infection control compliance. It was my clinical leadership role that initiated my passion for leadership and operations.
I was then offered to love and lead my Maroochydore team as Practice Manager.
I was responsible for all operations of our busy clinic, and most importantly supporting the team and bringing out the best in them!
This lead me into a Bachelor of Business degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
After 6.5 years of walking through the doors of ADM, I then progressed into my Systems and Events Manager role.
This role allows me to support all our Avenue practices, and I am finding so much joy in having this involvement!
You can say I am also very passionate about Avenue’s social events… now I get to plan them!!
I am also responsible for planning and coordinating our Dental education events that we offer to Final Year University students, and recent Dental Graduates.
I love the quote “surround yourself with people who will only lift you higher” and being able to now work directly alongside the founders of Avenue Dental, is incredibly inspiring and motivating.
I am so grateful for all the opportunities Avenue Dental has provided me, and for always encouraging me to pursue my passions.
Outside of work you will usually find me at my local gym or the beach!
I find my most joy in spending time with friends + family and travelling
I will also never say no to a coffee!!
