Dr Rita Goulart
Dr. Rita Goulart grew up in Brazil and was determined from a young age to pursue a career in dentistry. She graduated with honors from the Lutheran University of Brazil, earning her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001. In 2003, she relocated to New Zealand, and by 2006, she had settled on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, where she has been practicing ever since.
About Rita
With 23 years of experience, Rita is passionate about providing high-quality dental care, taking a holistic approach by considering her patients’ overall health, well-being, and lifestyle to develop treatment plans that positively impact their long-term health. In her advanced education, Rita completed a three-year Mini Residency in Orthodontics, focusing on full-face orthodontics, non-extraction methods, and improving patients’ breathing and sleep.
Outside of her professional life, Rita enjoys an active, healthy lifestyle with her partner, Mark, and their pets—Freya, an Australian Shepherd, and two cats. She still attends the gym regularly and loves exploring new culinary adventures. A hidden artist, she enjoys painting and drawing in her spare time and remains dedicated to inspiring her colleagues and patients to be the best version of themselves.
Special Interests
She has undertaken a Master’s in Sleep Medicine at the University of Sydney, extensive training in Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry (including digital smile design, veneers, and smile makeovers), and has developed a keen interest in facial aesthetics and rejuvenation, recently pursuing a diploma in Dermal Science. Rita has also completed her Master’s in Lasers, exploring innovative applications in dentistry and facial aesthetics. Today, Rita is a proud member of the Avenue Dental Maroochydore team, where she feels fortunate to work with a group committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences. She continues to excel in facial aesthetics, rejuvenation, Invisalign, and smile makeovers.
