AMALGAM REMOVAL
Many people have had amalgam fillings placed when younger. This filling material was made up of a mixture of metals including mercury. Thankfully, with advancing technology, we are able to offer our patients ‘white fillings’ that give a more conservative and natural appeal.
Did you know, an increasing number of patients are opting to have their amalgams removed. Due to the levels of mercury in amalgam fillings and its capacity to swell and shrink with hot and cold, your teeth are prone to cracking in chipping overtime (if they haven’t already).
We offer a special service for amalgam removal, involving rubber dams, oxygen and many other usual tools to prevent the metals from being ingested.
