Dr. Shayun Ford is a general dentist located at our new practice, Avenue Dental Woolloongabba. Shayun is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care, whereby his gentle demeanour ensures a calming experience for anxious patients. He takes pride in his commitment to meeting every patient’s dental needs, ensuring they walk out with a smile. He has a deep passion for all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic crown and veneer dentistry, Invisalign, oral surgery and full mouth rehabilitation.
Raised in Brisbane, Shayun graduated from St Peters Lutheran College. He then pursued his dream of becoming a dentist and earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in Cairns. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Shayun has always been a high achiever, consistently excelling in both school and university. Following extensive clinical experience in Cairns, Townsville, Normanton, Cloncurry, and Mt Isa, Shayun is proud to return to his hometown and join the esteemed team at Avenue Dental, utilising cutting-edge dental technology.
Shayun has a passion to achieve excellence and is up to date with all the latest advancements in dentistry. He continues to expand his knowledge and skills by attending Professional Development courses throughout the year, ensuring he maintains the highest quality of care for his patients. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Shayun has remained committed to providing personalised and exceptional patient care. He believes in involving patients every step of the way, ensuring they are empowered to achieve their treatment goals at the highest standard possible. Shayun takes pride in his approachability and ability to understand the unique needs and circumstances of each individual. He is often praised on his gentle demeanour and chairside manners, which fosters a sense of ease for patients, particularly for those who may feel anxious during dental visits.
When he’s not in the clinic transforming smiles, you can find Shayun by the beach, having a hit of tennis, or at the Sunday services at Riverlife Baptist Church. He also enjoys reading books about mindfulness and self-growth, and spending quality time with his loved ones. Shayun maintains a strong connection with his Persian roots, whereby he speaks both English and Farsi and participates in cultural events.
