Hi my name is Chloe!

I moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast in 2009 from Rotorua, New Zealand. A few months after my arrival I was encouraged to do a volunteer day to see what it would be like to become a dental assistant. It was far more intriguing than what I ever anticipated, I left that day with an offer to join the Avenue Dental team.

My journey at Avenue Dental started in the hygiene department where I worked my way up to hygiene coordinator, guiding all the new staff members through the department to work alongside our dental hygienists. From there I went on to learn admin and phone skills to help our busy reception team to working in the lab pouring models of patients teeth and making custom whitening trays. I also helped with the social media and marketing for the practice. It was in 2018 I got an amazing opportunity to love and lead the team at Avenue Dental Bli Bli. I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have been given at Avenue Dental and to work along side such an amazingly passionate team.

Everyday is different in dentistry, you are constantly learning and growing. The thing I love the most at Avenue Dental is the culture we have in alignment with our core values. Growth, excellence, teamwork, passion, positive and fun and wow. Management sustains this by having a support system for each individual to help them achieve their work and personal goals. They also set up team goals and events based on the core values for the team to celebrate. It really is a special place to work where the growth is limitless.

I thoroughly enjoy the days I work on reception and getting to know our patients more personally it really is rewarding. Especially seeing the journey of those that start off extremely anxious to then see them after a few appointments completely at ease and their whole perception of dentistry change.

Outside of work I love spending quality time with my friends, family, partner and little dog Amba. Playing a good board game, going for a bike ride, relaxing on our beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches or climbing one of our many mountains!
