Dr Paige Ipsen
Dr Paige Ipsen is a general dentist from Victoria and was inspired to become a dentist after the La Trobe University dental school was established in Bendigo a few years prior to her graduating high school. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Dentistry.
About Paige
In 2019 Dr Paige relocated to the Sunshine Coast to join the Avenue Dental team after working in public health dentistry. Her involvement at the hospital provided her with valuable experience in managing patients with complex medical histories and dental requirements and she became skilled in providing prompt emergency dental care. Dr Paige is passionate about helping people overcome their fears of the dentist as she understands it’s not everyone’s favourite place to be. Her goal is to break the stigma around dentistry where people associate the profession with old school dental vans and a ‘knee on the chest’ to get a tooth out.
Outside of work, Dr Paige loves having a hit of tennis and going for runs along the coast. She likes travelling but is always happy to get back to Australia where the coffee is the best in the world. She also gets her hopes up every year thinking it will be Carlton’s time to win a premiership.
Special Interests
Dr Paige has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of a wonderful, growing community in Bli Bli and values creating great long-term relationships with her patients based on integrity. She is proficient at all aspects of dentistry including fillings, extractions, root canals, crown/bridge and preventative dentistry. She prides herself on being able to provide treatment for children under happy gas who may otherwise need to be referred for treatment under general anaesthetic. Dr Paige also offers IV (twilight) sedation for adult patient’s where a greater level of sedation is needed.
