Dr Amy Gamage and Dentistry
Dr Amy joined Avenue Dental Sippy Downs in the Sunshine Coast since its opening in 2021. Prior to gaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne, she completed several other degrees in back in New Zealand. Her special interests venture with treating and looking after children (paediatric dentistry), guiding anxious patients and working with you to achieve your best and healthiest smile. She is also trained to administer nitrous sedation and Invisalign, and is working towards paediatrics and orthodontics specialties.
Amy finds all areas of general dentistry enjoyable, and has a detailed-oriented drive, understanding that no two patients can receive the exact same treatment. Maintaining the longevity of your dental health is her main goal.
She loves to understand and take into consideration your values and background, tailoring every patient experience so you get the best possible treatment. Oral health can transcend and affect your general and mental health, so she believes starting early in your dental healthcare journey is imperative.
Her fields of interests include a range of dental treatment. She can perform treatments including full smile make-overs and Invisalign for that cosmetic outcome your looking for, to looking after the youngest of patients. Amy can work with you to fix crowded, worn down or discoloured teeth and help you get your best smile back.She also loves and can treat children no matter the age and endeavours to work with the whole family to incorporate great lifelong dental care for everyone. And for those really anxious patients coming in, she will take the time to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
Outside of work, Amy loves the three ‘M’s (music, movies, and moving). She plays a range of instruments, and loves a good karaoke session. She loves watching a range of genres of films and shows, from nonfiction to fiction. And moving or staying active, whether it’s gymming, sports, and going on a hike exploring a new region, is a must. She even played in the national Badminton competitions back in NZ. You might find her cruising along the Sunshine Coast beach walkways on her skateboard sometimes.
