Whiten your teeth
Teeth Whitening
Coffee, tea, red wine, and honestly just living — it all catches up with your teeth eventually. Our in-practice whitening and custom trays across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide is designed to lift the staining and discolouration that builds up from everyday habits, and give your smile a bit of its brightness back.
Results do vary from person to person — everyone’s teeth start from a different place — but plenty of people walk away with a noticeably brighter smile. Before anything, your dentist will check whether whitening’s actually suitable for you, talk you through how it works, and help you decide if it’s worth doing. Sometimes staining is surface-level and whitening’s perfect for it; sometimes there’s something else going on that whitening won’t fix, and we’ll be honest with you about that.
Disclaimer: Whitening results vary based on individual factors such as enamel condition and lifestyle habits. Your dentist will discuss expected outcomes and risks during your consultation.
Custom Take Home Whitening Trays
If you’d rather take it slow, our take-home option lets you brighten gradually, with your dentist keeping an eye on things along the way. After a new patient exam and a suitability check, we take impressions of your teeth and make you a set of custom-fitted trays – properly moulded to your mouth, so the whitening gel sits where it should and nothing leaks around your gums. Your dentist will run you through exactly how to use them: how much gel, how often, and what’s realistic to expect for your teeth specifically. Then you do the actual whitening at home, in your own time.
Zoom In Chair Whitening
If you’re after something faster and fully supervised, in-chair whitening might suit you. It’s done by our dental team in a single appointment, using a professional-strength gel activated by a special light – so it’s all handled start to finish while you’re with us. It’s a popular pick when someone wants results sooner rather than later, say before a wedding or a big event. As always, your dentist will check it’s the right option for you first, explain what the appointment actually involves, and show you how to keep your results looking good at home afterwards.
Will whitening work for me?
Depends on what’s going on with your teeth, and that’s worth being upfront about. Whitening does a lovely job on the everyday surface staining that builds up from food, drink, and time. What it can’t do is change the colour of veneers, crowns, or fillings — those stay the shade they were made — and it won’t fix discolouration that comes from inside the tooth, which needs a different approach altogether. That’s exactly why your dentist has a proper look first, rather than just handing everyone the same gel and hoping. Sometimes whitening is spot-on; sometimes there’s a better route, and we’ll tell you which.

Teeth Whitening FAQs
How long does whitening last?
It varies person to person, but plenty of people get several months to a year or more out of it. How long it holds comes down to the everyday stuff — your oral hygiene, what you’re eating and drinking, whether you smoke. Top-ups help stretch it out.
Is whitening safe?
Done professionally, it’s carried out under your dentist’s supervision using regulated, dental-grade products – and your dentist checks your oral health first to make sure whitening’s appropriate for you. That supervision is the whole point: it’s a very different thing from grabbing a random kit off a shelf and hoping for the best.
How long does the process take?
In-chair whitening usually takes around an hour, start to finish. Take-home trays work more gradually, over several days or weeks, depending on the gel and what your dentist recommends.
Will it make my teeth sensitive?
It can – some people get a bit of temporary sensitivity during or after, and that’s normal. It usually settles quickly. Your dentist will talk you through it beforehand and suggest ways to keep it comfortable, especially if you already know your teeth run sensitive.
How much does it cost?
Depends which treatment you go for. You’ll get a full, clear cost breakdown at your consultation, so there are no surprises – nothing gets started before you know exactly what you’re up for.
