Dr Brendan graduated from the University of Queensland School of Dentistry with first class honours and was also awarded the Australian Dental Association Prize. Brendan joined Avenue Dental in January 2017 after experiencing working in both a Queensland Health clinic and a large private Brisbane dental practice. Now Brendan and his wife have truly found their home on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Brendan will be serving the community in Maroochydore for many years to come.
After graduating as a dentist, Brendan has completed a 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics with the Australian Post-Graduate School of Dentistry. This education gives him greater knowledge and skills to be able to provide for his Invisalign patients. This does not make Brendan a specialist orthodontist but gives him greater qualification than most general dentists who provide Invisalign.
Brendan is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends educational courses to stay on top of recent research and techniques. Due to this continued training, Dr Brendan can provide surgical wisdom tooth extractions, mandibular advancement splints for snoring and sleep apnoea and clear aligner orthodontics with Invisalign. Brendan strives to make your dental visit as comfortable as possible whilst maintaining particular attention to detail. He enjoys educating patients about any dental issues you may have and discussing all treatment options available in each individual situation. Personalised care is very important to Brendan.
Brendan gets a particular thrill from providing cosmetic dental treatment, whether that be small tooth adjustments or full smile makeovers. The happy smiles leaving the practice are what drives Brendan to go the extra mile for his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Brendan leads an active lifestyle and aims to participate in all manner of sports and activities. If you have an unusual hobby or activity, Brendan would love to hear about it and will probably give it a go.
