Dr Heather Beattie and Dentistry
Heather is originally from the North West of England, growing up in ‘The Great Border City’ of Carlisle, just 8 miles south of the Scottish border.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Newcastle University in 2008, she spent several years working in community dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. This led her to return to university to undertake a medical degree which she successfully completed in 2014, adding a Bachelor of Medicine to her list of achievements.
Although Heather practices all aspects of dentistry, her work as a Senior House Officer and staff grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has given her a passion for oral surgery and a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field. In more recent years she has undertaken training in Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry and loves to transform patients smiles.
Heather loves to connect with her patients and gets the greatest satisfaction in helping patients conquer their dental anxieties and develop their confidence in the dental setting, creating smiles both inside and out.
Since moving to Australia in 2018, Heather has met her husband Jake (a Noosa local) and they welcomed their little boy in 2022. Heather has now proudly become an Australian citizen and is here to stay.
Outside of dentistry Heather enjoys spending time with her family and they can often be found taking lengthy walks with Dobby the dog along Noosa River or Sunshine Beach, stopping off at ‘Old Salt Coffee’ along the way. She also loves travelling, reading and settling down with a good film.
