Dr Holly Peters is a general dentist based in our Murrumba Downs practice. She enjoys making all patients feel at ease with her gentle nature, particularly children and nervous patients. Holly can look after all your dental needs from regular checkups, to emergency appointments and transforming your smile.

Dr Holly Peters and Dentistry
Being born and raised in Brisbane, Holly agrees there’s no place like home. Spending her formative years in the Redlands where she spent her weekends sailing around the bay islands with her family. Holly began her tertiary education with a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) with a special interest in anatomy and microbiology. Following this she became a sessional academic, teaching her special interests whilst completing a Masters of Applied Science in Anthropology. This niche knowledge led her to the realm of forensic science. Whilst Holly found this work immensely interesting, she was missing the best part of healthcare, the patients! Initially completing a Bachelor of Dental Health Science followed by a Master of Dentistry at Griffith University.
Throughout her career, Holly has co-authored research articles in tertiary teaching and physical anthropology.
With a love of learning and a passion for health care, Holly has found dentistry to be a fulfilling and rewarding career. She has been working in the public system across Southeast Queensland and is excited to be part of the team at Avenue Dental Murrumba Downs. Holly enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is especially empathetic to those who are anxious about their visits. From fixed restorative work (Crowns, veneers and bridges), endodontics (root canals), dentures, oral surgery and paediatrics, Holly enjoys doing all things necessary to make her patient’s smile goals come true.
In her downtime, Holly enjoys sewing and painting but, if the wind is just right you can find her back in the Redlands kite surfing with her Dad. Holly recently completed a road trip to Uluru with her partner Martin and is on the hunt for another adventure, feel free to pass on your best travel tips.
