Dr Jeffrey Lai is a general dentist located at our North Brisbane practice at Avenue Dental North Lakes. Whilst he loves all facets of general dentistry, he has particular interests in oral surgery, full mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry and family dentistry.

Dr Jeffrey Lai and Dentistry
Raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, Jeffrey briefly studied at Otago University before seizing the opportunity to escape the sub-zero temperatures to study in the picturesque, warm climate at James Cook University in Cairns. Upon completing clinical experience in Townsville, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba, Jeffrey is happy to call North Lakes his new home, and is proud to be of service to the northern communities of Brisbane as part of the Avenue Dental team.
Jeffrey understands that visiting the dental clinic may be a daunting task. Therefore, Jeffrey is committed to create a space where patents feel comfortable to express their needs and desires about their dental health. Jeffrey prides himself to be an approachable and empathetic clinician who loves to educate and supports a patient-centred approach. His gentle and professional manner places patients at ease.
The commitment to education and excellence for both himself and his patients was a theme that drew Jeffrey to Avenue Dental. Utilising the latest technologies, Jeffrey is excited and motivated to provide the best possible care for the Northern Brisbane communities. To fuel his passion for learning, Jeffrey actively participates in furthering his own skillset to provide tangible solutions for his patients worries or concerns in Continuing Professional Development courses, study clubs and groups.
Aside from the dental clinic, Jeffrey is a massive sports fan and loves to watch most major sports and plays basketball and badminton in his free-time. Jeffrey is also an avid photographer and is a keen hiker and traveller. Having lived in Taiwan, Jeffrey is also able to communicate in limited Mandarin if need be. Continuing the theme of life-long learning, Jeffrey has recently picked up golf and is very welcoming of any tips and tricks to improve – so if you are an avid golfer, do let him know!
