About Shuyi
Shuyi spent her early life in Europe and Canada, and attended the University of Toronto where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then moved to Australia to realise her dream of becoming a dentist, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney. While at university she received the Richard Belitho Bush Memorial Prize for overall academic excellence, the Professor Noel Martin Memorial Prize for research in population oral health, and the Anthony P Martin Prize in Endodontics. Shuyi had travelled around Tewantin and Noosa previously and found herself loving the beautiful area. When she saw an opportunity open up with Avenue Dental at their Tewantin location, she knew what to do and has been enjoying work and life here since.
Shuyi lives locally and in her free time she can be found enjoying the beautiful beaches and the numerous hikes the area has to offer. She also loves discovering new restaurants and markets. Even after a few years of being here, she still feels like she is on vacation. Next time you see her around be sure to say hi!
