Dr Yeshua Vermeulen and Dentistry
Dr. Yeshua graduated from the University of Otago in Dunedin, whose journey into the world of dentistry was started by his excitement for blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience.
Originally born in South Africa, Dr. Yeshua and his family relocated to New Zealand at the age of 13 years old. Embracing his new home, he immersed himself in kiwi culture and eventually pursued his dream of becoming a dentist. Yeshua has pursued further education to become the best clinician possible. Which is why Yeshua has now moved to Australia to pursue further advanced dental training with like-minded clinicians at Avenue Dental.
Dr. Yeshua has pursued advanced education in dentistry, obtaining qualifications such as IV sedation, Implant Training, completing an Advanced Cerec Course, and acquiring CORE Advanced First Aid Training and CBCT Analysis skills.
His commitment to staying at the forefront of modern digital dentistry reflects his dedication to providing the best possible care for his patients.
Passionate about proactive dental care, Dr. Yeshua strives to create personalized preventative management plans, empowering his patients to maintain optimal oral health. Fluent in both English and Afrikaans, he is always ready to address any dental-related questions, ensuring clear communication with his patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Yeshua takes full advantage of the outdoor lifestyle in Sunshine Coast. He has recently taken up kayaking and has been an active mountain biker in the past. Yeshua had recently spent a few months in Wanaka to try his hand at skiing. Yeshua has raised funds for charity marathons in the past through his dental running group, as well as complete a marathon mountain biking challenge.
With a commitment to excellence and a warm, approachable demeanour, Dr. Yeshua is not only your dentist but also a trusted partner in your journey to a healthier, happier smile.
Volunteering and Outreach
Dr. Yeshua has volunteered as a dentist for organizations such as Youth With A Mission (YWAM), helping bring dental care to limited access communities. Yeshua has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity which aims to bring shelter to families in need.
Yeshua also served in the New Zealand Army as a Reservist Infantryman, to further give back to his community.
