Tina O’Shannessey

Tina’s first dental memory was having had multiple fillings when she was at school, which was always a positive experience and she was fascinated by science and in particular, teeth. Once she started her degree she knew this was fitting for her. Tina graduated in 2009 from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Oral Heath, while also working as a dental assistant during that time. Because Tina has spent many hours in the dental chair herself as a patient she can really empathize with her patients. Tina has regularly been told she is very gentle, has the right touch!

Tina has always lived and worked on the north side of Brisbane, including Gympie and now the Sunshine Coast.  She has been lucky to utilize all her Oral Health Therapist duties, such as working with orthodontics and treating both children and adults giving her a wide range of skill and experience in a multitude of services offered at Avenue Dental Kawana. She loves her conferences and has passion for learning.  Tina prides herself in being very open-minded and having a holistic approach to dental treatments.

In her own time Tina is a very down-to-earth person, who simply loves the outdoors, hiking mountains, SUP/kayak, camping, wakeboarding, and loves her animals, as she use to own her horses and now has a Husky.  Tine very much loves the work/life balance the Sunshine Coast and her career has provided her and is always looking to her next travel adventure or next project on her house.
