DVA cardholders have given so much for this great country and we believe they deserve the very best care. Avenue Dental has been proud sponsors of the Sunshine Coast Branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia and their “Ricochet” magazine for over five years, and look forwards to continuing this support into the future.

Do I Need Prior Approval From DVA?

Avenue Dental provides all accepted dental procedures for DVA gold card holders and white card holders. Generally, prior financial approval is not needed for DVA gold card holders and is not needed for white card holders as long as the treatment relates to their accepted condition(s). The main exception to this is osseo integrated dental implants. All dental implant treatments require prior approval from DVA.

What Is Covered?

DVA covers a broad range of dental treatments. This includes most dental treatments that a veteran is likely to need in a lifetime including: fillings (white and metal), root canal treatments, dentures (metal and acrylic), crowns (gold, porcelain fused to metal and all ceramic crowns such as zirconia and Emax), gum disease treatments, preventative and diagnostic services (such as exams, x-rays and fluoride treatments), dental extractions, bite splints for teeth grinding, and even snoring appliances (to help with mild to moderate sleep apnea).
