Gum Grafting

It is very common to see a problem with a patient’s gums, in particular gum recession. Patients often feel it is normal to get long in the tooth as time goes by.

Did you know that the gums are very important, aside from their cosmetic contribution, they also offer an important protective barrier to the tooth and underlying bone.

If you think you have gum recession, sensitive teeth at the gum line or just don’t like the appearance of the teeth due to the position of the gums, the solution maybe a gum graft.

A gum graft is often a simple surgical procedure designed to thicken the gums and if necessary, reposition them to cover the exposed roots. This reduces sensitivity, and also improves your smile cosmetically.
