Kirra

Hi! My name is Kirra, and I am a new Hygienist Assistant here at Avenue Dental Maroochydore. Even though I am just starting out in my dental journey, I already feel at home and honoured to be apart of such a beautiful, welcoming, and fun family.

With a background in nursing, I have always had a love and passion for connecting and supporting people through healthcare and wellness. Health can be a scary topic for a lot of people, so my heart is to create a space in which the people I encounter feel heard, supported, and comfortable.

I have always been a little creative, so in my spare time I love to paint. I started painting as an effort to escape from the hecticness of my last year of schooling, then ended up falling in love with it. In 2022, I decided to turn my garage hobby into a small business. I love to paint organically on large canvas with different materials, textures, colours, and mediums. This is something I enjoy doing still to do this day, and I don’t see myself letting a paint brush down any time soon…

I am so excited to step into this new world of hygiene and dentistry, working alongside Gillian Westlake-Toms, to help provide the best dental hygiene treatment possible for our patients on the Sunshine Coast.
