At our five dental practices across the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane, Avenue Dental offers late night dental appointments (until 7pm) and offers Saturday dental appointments. We realize that people are busier now than ever before. People have work, school, family, children, sporting and study commitments, so finding time to fit in a visit to the dentist can be challenging. This is why we decided to offer late night and Saturday appointments. We feel this makes it easier for people to be able to fit a dental appointment in around the rest of their life rather than having to make the rest of their life fit around a dental appointment.

Being open until 7pm also means we have extra after school dental appointments. We have found that many parents do not want to take their children out of school to attend dental appointments. Due to our extended opening hours we have more appointments available for parents to be able to bring their children to the dentist without having to miss school.

We have found that the late night dental appointments are our most popular dental appointments and always fill first. They are most popular with people who work during the day and find it hard to get time off from work. We know that it can be hard to get time off work.

Some workplaces require medical certificates to attend appointments (we can write these for you if you need), and many people find there are never enough hours in the day to complete their work so they do not want to have to leave work early for dental appointments. Many of our patients work in Brisbane so they would not be able to attend appointments if we were only open the traditional 8am to 5pm hours.

If is fantastic to be able to offer Saturday dental appointments for people who cannot attend the dentist during the week. Saturday dental appointments are also great for people who have dental emergencies on the weekend so that they don’t have to wait until Monday to see a dentist.

We always set aside extra dental emergency appointments on Saturday because most dental practices on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane are not open on Saturdays. This lets us help as many people as possible who have dental emergencies on Saturdays. We do not restrict our Saturday appointments to existing patients of Avenue Dental, as we want to be able to help as many member of the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane community.
