The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is Bulk Billed at Avenue Dental at each of its Sunshine Coast dental practices. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule $1000 benefit will reset for all eligible children on the 1st of January 2016.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule commenced on the 1st of January 2014. Its aim was to provide dental care to approximately 3.4million Australian children aged from 2 to 17 years old. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule covered up to $1000 over a 2 calendar year period for basic dental services such as dental exams, dental x-rays, dental fillings, fissure sealants, extractions, root canals and partial dentures. On the 1st of January 2016 the $1000 Child Dental Benefit will reset for all eligible children.
At Avenue Dental on the Sunshine Coast we have been bulk billing the treatment for children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule at our Caloundra, Maroochydore and Kawana dental practices for the last 2 years. We have been overwhelmed by the positive response of the community to this government initiative and it has been extremely rewarding to help so many deserving children. In 2016, when the Child Dental Benefits Schedule cap resets, Avenue Dental will again be bulk billing this treatment for all eligible children. At each of our three Sunshine Coast dental practices (Avenue Dental Caloundra, Avenue Dental Maroochydore and Avenue Dental Kawana) we offer the full range of dental services specified in the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
To be eligible for the reset $1000 cap in 2016 under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule you will need to be eligible for Medicare, receive a Family Tax Benefit Part A or equivalent government payment for at least part of the calendar year and be aged from 2 to 17 years for at least one day of the calendar year.
In the last two years the Child Dental Benefits Schedule has helped thousands of children access much needed dental care. Helping so many children in need has been one of the most rewarding experiences for us at Avenue Dental. It is great to be able to provide such high quality dental treatments to these children and to help set them up for a lifetime of healthy dental habits. Starting children on healthy dental habits early can help prevent many dental problems later in life.
